Who We Are
Tehama County Arts Council is a State-Local Partner with the California Arts Council since 1985. The California Arts Council is a state agency founded in 1976 for the purpose of advancing California through the arts and culture, their expression, participation, and employment of artists. The CAC receives funding from the state’s annual budget, the California Arts License Plate, a Keep Arts in Schools tax return fund, and the National Endowment for the Arts. They fund many grant programs with a vision of a California where all lives are enriched by access to and participation in a diverse spectrum of art and cultural experiences, and the arts ecosystems reflect contributions from all diverse populations. A State-Local Partner is the county designated organization that supports arts and cultural activity in service to individual artists, art organizations, and the communities throughout the county. We are honored to be that organization.
Tehama County Arts Council Board
The Tehama County Arts Council is led by a volunteer Board of Directors whose members are passionate about supporting the arts. This dedicated group of individuals includes both prominent personalities and talented artists who bring a diverse range of perspectives to the table. Together, they work hard to raise the necessary funds to support various arts-related events and projects throughout the county. In addition to membership dues and event ticket sales, TCAC relies on community donations, fundraising efforts, and grant monies to make it all happen. With the support of the community behind them, TCAC is able to continue celebrating and cultivating the arts in all their many forms.
Board membership is limited to 15 volunteers. Candidates must be TCAC members in good standing and be able to work cooperatively with a fun group of dedicated volunteers to promote the Arts in Tehama County. New Board Members must be approved during a regular business meeting.
We welcome you to join us at the Board of Directors monthly meeting every 3rd Wednesday at 6:00 PM at 724 Main Street, Red Bluff, California.
We are an organization that functions as an umbrella organization to encourage and support all the arts countywide
and are membership supported.
