Winners of 11th Annual Tehama County Student Art Contest Announced

Winners of the 11th annual student art contest were announced on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Tehama District Fairgrounds by Ms. Venita Philbrick and Mayor Bob Carrel. The Artist Reception was held in conjunction with the annual St. Elizaebeth Comunity Hospital Health Spree and the Calico Faire. The 2011 theme was “Cosmic Wonders” and over 400 entries from 16 Tehama County schools were received. The contest included four divisions for grades K-12.
Division IV: Grades 9-12
1st Place: Gina Cosentino, Red Bluff High School
2nd Place: Marly Adams, Corning Union High School
3rd Place: Ella Fleet, Mercy High School
Division III: Grades 6-8
1st Place: Jalline Salazar, Maywood Middle School
2nd Place: Tanner Vanworth, Vista Middle School
3rd Place: Krystal McManus, Vista Middle School
Division II: Grades 3-5
1st Place: Chloe King, Lincoln Street School
2nd Place: Lily Hewitt, Lincoln Street School
3rd Place: Kristie Baldwin, Antelope Elementary
Division I: Grades K-2
1st Place: Ben Penner, Reeds Creek
2nd Place: Ashton Farorre, Gerber Elementary
3rd Place: Madison Reynolds, Gerber Elementary
