About Us
The Tehama County Arts Council (TCAC) was established in 1982 by the Tehama County Board of Supervisors to promote visual and performing arts as well as other cultural endeavors in Tehama County.
Since incorporating as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit public benefit corporation in September 1985, the TCAC has coordinated, sponsored, funded, produced, and participated in hundreds of local arts events.
The TCAC functions as an umbrella organization, encouraging and supporting fine art, photography, dance, theater, music, design, and more.
A volunteer 15-member Board of Directors directs the TCAC’s activities. Our funding comes from membership dues, event ticket sales, community donations, fundraising, and grant monies which are used to support various county arts-related events and projects.
This year, thanks to a grant from the California Arts Council (CAC) Arts Lover California license plate program, the TCAC was able to provide more than $10,000 in mini-grants to local schools, organizations, artists, and other art projects. Fees from the license plate program fund CAC programs for children and arts organizations throughout the state.
The TCAC is always looking for opportunities to partner with, sponsor and/or support new and additional artistic endeavors for the community.
